Terengganu offers an array of delectable local culinary delights. Food is reasonably priced and visitors have a wide range of delicacies to try out. As the state is situated close to the sea, seafood plays a prominent role in its culinary scene. Freshness are said to give Terengganu’s food its extra delicious taste and distinct aromas.

Transportation

Kuala Terengganu is about 455km from Kuala Lumpur via the East Coast Highway. Express buses to various towns in Terengganu are easily available from Kuala Lumpur and other parts of the country and the journey takes approximately five to seven hours from Kuala Lumpur. Daily flights from the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to the Sultan Mahmud Airport in Kuala Terengganu is also available.

There are several interesting modes of transportation in Terengganu. Among them is the beautifully decorated hop-on hop-off Heritage Bus or town bus which plies the major tourist spots in the capital city of Kuala Terengganu and the brightly-decorated trishaws where visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride while taking in the sights and sounds of the city. In addition, there are also local buses and taxis that are readily available.
