Tugu Negara or the National Monument of Malaysia honours the heroes who sacrificed themselves for the freedom of Malaysia following the Japanese invasion during World War II and the Malayan Emergency from 1948 till 1960.
It’s not very nice to look, but walking on a walk ingested a different house and sea view is more interesting than the different, and it’s worth a walk. If it wasn’t for the businesses that were at night but the people who really lived here, I’m afraid it would be overwhelming.
I visited the Chew Jetty expecting to see something of the history of jetty life. I was a little underwhelmed. Lots of shops selling bits and pieces for tourists. No great views or cultural insights
