Admire the Moorish-style Jubilee Clock Tower at the junction of Light Street and Beach Street, Georgetown. Sixty feet in height, the tower commemorates the 1897 Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria.
It’s not very nice to look, but walking on a walk ingested a different house and sea view is more interesting than the different, and it’s worth a walk. If it wasn’t for the businesses that were at night but the people who really lived here, I’m afraid it would be overwhelming.
I visited the Chew Jetty expecting to see something of the history of jetty life. I was a little underwhelmed. Lots of shops selling bits and pieces for tourists. No great views or cultural insights
